Match Preview: Spurs v Aston Villa - team news: Injury, suspension list, prediction, thoughts etc.
Because of injuries
and suspensions, we’ve lost two in a row. This third match will be difficult to
predict, however…
… Postecoglou will
try to avoid a third successive defeat. Anyway, we won’t go into analysing
those two defeats… as we don’t need to be depressed going into Sunday’s game. I
will say, though, that we’ve gone somewhat adrift of our rivals, where we are
currently sitting fourth in the table, two points worse off than City. As for
Liverpool, Arsenic, and Old Lace, they are one point ahead. It's not a great canyon
to leap, but we must start returning to winning ways. Otherwise, we could find
ourselves up shit’s creek.
This weekend sees
City v Liverpool, Brentford v Arsenic and Old Lace, while Newcastle take on
Pochettino’s Blue Boys.
I am hoping that City
either draw or beat Liverpool while Brentford get one over the Gooners. As for
Newcastle, a win would do nicely!

My
Prediction.
Considering all
injuries and suspensions, I think this one is hard to predict.
My first thoughts
(which were all over the place) were 1-1; then I jumped to 1-2 to Villa… now I
am more sure-footed and going for a 3-1 win.
The onus will be on Johnson
and Dejan Kulusevski to provide the team with a creative spark in the absence
of Maddison and Perisic. We should experience some joy against a Villa side that
often falls short at away games. The trouble is that we don’t know what our
manager has planned for Villa; hopefully, it will be something that will stun
them into submission.
What more can I say? The
wait has been too long since the last game… but now we are ready and waiting…
or at least I am. I hope we come away from the Tottenham stadium in good
spirits.
Up the Spurs!
COYS!
Glenn
