Match Preview: Spurs v The Gooners (can we turn them over?)
Match Preview: Spurs v The Gooners (can we turn them over?)
As far as fixtures go, the game between the Reds
and us is always exciting times and the season's highlight. The big
fixture this weekend sees the League leaders travel to our ground. Can we put a
spoke in their wheels? I believe we can.
The Gooners hope to go for their first league
title in 19 years, while we hope to (tongue-in-cheek) go for our first League
title in 62 years.
The north London derby is scheduled for a 4.30pm
GMT kick-off this Sunday.
Spurs
team news
Dejan Kulusevski is back in training after his
injury. Yves Bissouma is expected to be fit. Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison
are worries, and their fitness will be addressed when Conte gives his pre-match
press conference.
My
prediction: 2-1
It is difficult to know what team will turn up
on Sunday for us; nevertheless, I believe we have the players to turn them
over.
Head
to head
We are unbeaten in our past eight Premier League
home games against Arsenal (W6 D2). We won our past three at home against the
Gooners but have never won four in a row in our league history. But there is a
first time for everything!
Following their 3-1 win at Emirates Stadium in
October, the Arse are looking to complete their first league double over us
since 2013-14.
We have scored more second-half goals than any
other Premier League side this season (27), with these also accounting for a
league-high 73% of their total (27/37).
The Gooner-arse-wipes have won all six of their
London derbies this season, keeping a clean sheet in all three away games.
They've not won seven such games since the 2007-08 campaign, which included home
and away victories over us.
So, that is it, folks; the rest is in the team's
hands… Let us get behind them! Your vocal support is important…
