TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event, with coverage beginning at 5pm.

On Friday, I am off to Ilfracombe in Devon, from there (on Saturday), I will have to travel to United, which is about a 5-hour journey. Then head back to Ilfracombe (after the United game), which will probably mean I won't get back until the early hours of Sunday morning. That is either dedication or madness, or both!

We (as in Tottenham, not me personally) will be hoping to make it three straight league wins when we travel to Manchester United on Saturday. On Monday, we got a 5-0 victory over Everton in the League, leaving us in seventh spot in the table, two points behind fifth-placed Man United with two games in hand.

We are also just three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, although the Gooners have a game spare over us.

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD

Saturday's match will be the 197th competitive meeting between the two clubs, dating back to January 1899. United has the best record, winning 93 of those games to our 53, while 50 have ended in draws.

The Reds have also had the better of the recent match-ups, winning four of the last six (one draw, one defeat), including a 3-0 triumph in October, but we had victory during that run was by a 6-1 scoreline in last season's corresponding fixture.

Thoughts

Like United, we are also looking to secure a Champions League place for next season while hoping to end a three-season absence from the competition. United's 3-0 victory over us earlier this season brought the end to Nuno Espirito Santo's short reign in charge of the club.

Conte has implemented a three-at-the-back system over recent months and notably helped Harry Kane rediscover his goalscoring form. Kane reached double digits for the league season on Monday night, having netted just once in the 2021/22 competition before Conte's arrival.

We've been up and down all season like dispossessed monkies. To build on our victories over the two hapless sides (Leeds & Everton), get into the top four, and get a Champions League place, we must continue our winning ways by beating United, followed by Brighton and the bubble-blowing spammers.

United are still in the Champions League and will be in action next week.

With both fourth-placed Arsenal and sixth-placed West Ham in action a day later, a win for either United or us will catapult one or the other into the prime position to chase down the Gunners.

Prediction

I am keeping my fingers crossed, and I am going for a 2-1 over United. And why not? We need to remove that "Spursy" tag and banish it from history.

It will be a long and tiring day for me (and Janette). My holiday will start on Friday and will continue, however, a substantial interruption will put a dent into my holiday plans… but hey-ho… we are all put on this earth to endure certain hurdles to test our mettle. Watch this space… And as for Janette, she is raring to go!
