Match Preview: NS Mura vs Spurs (fourth time lucky?)

This is our 4^th game under Antonio Conte, so will this be the fourth time lucky? So far, we've had two wins (in all competitions) and one draw.

I was supposed to be at this game; I got my ticket and am now trying to arrange a flight; however, it is all looking a bit dim. I should hear back from Mel as to what is the verdict, soon. If not, it will be me and an app (as I don't have sky or anything, which means watching it on one of those free apps).

I am sure that Conte will be hoping to keep his unbeaten start when the team travel to NS Mura for the Europa Conference League showdown in Group G on Thursday.

We are second in our Group with seven points, while our hosts are yet to pick up a point in the competition.

Mura are bottom of Group G, having lost their opening four games. They are sitting on zero points.

In our 2-1 against Leeds United, we saw Conte celebrate with unrivalled passion, as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon responded to Dan James's opener in North London. Yes, he made a good start in the League, but we sit three points behind Rennes in this competition in Group G before welcoming Rennes to the capital next month.

When we beat Moura 5-1 in September, we saw Harry Kane getting a hat-trick.

Team News

Mura

They have no concerns on the disciplinary front for this game, but attacker Ziga Skoflek is expected to miss out through injury once more.

Spurs

Cristian Romero will serve a suspension following his sending off against Vitesse - although he is injured anyway - while Giovani Lo Celso is still uncertain. Oliver Skipp is back from suspension and should return to midfield.

Tanguy Ndombele, Matt Doherty, Ryan Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn are the contenders to come into the first XI. Still, it is difficult to see Dele Alli forcing his way into contention.

My possible starting lineup:

Gollini; Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon; Doherty, Skipp, Ndombele, Sessegnon; Gil, Kane, Bergwijn

Thoughts and prediction

I expect Conte will put out a team that will win and win well. So far, he has done a brilliant job with what he has got. But he does need new blood, so I expect him to limp on until the transfer window opens in January, where he can refresh the team and get rid of a lot of deadwood.

Conte has impressed me with how he has handled our team and made the right decisions at the right time when the going was tough. Our poor performance against Leeds in the first half was an excellent example of this; he changed it all around in the second half. He must have kicked some arses in the interval.

So, to my prediction. I am going for us to win 4-1, as Conte knows we must win games like this (and beat them well) if we want to progress further in this competition. There are two more games left in this contest (Mura & Rennes), and we really need to win and beat them well if we want to get into the next round.

As for me going to Mura; I will be very annoyed if we (Mel and I) don't end up going. First, we were promised that a plane would be laid on for supporters by Tottenham, then not, and now we have to find our own way there. I would have hoped that Tottenham had given us a bit more help when going to games abroad are concerned. But onwards and upwards.
