City out, but two other clubs are still in for Kane (according to the papers).
Confused about what is happening about Kane, well it gets worse, just read below and then laugh or cry or both.
According to
90min (the webpage), Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Harry
Kane.
As you all
know, Kane has been linked with City, believing they are the only ones to have
the money to buy him. Reports have emerged that Daniel Levy had agreed to sell
the striker to the Premier League champions for £160m, however, they are not
prepared to go to that amount. Since then, reports have come out of Spurs
saying that they are not ready to sell Kane. All confusing with one source
saying one thing while another contradicts it.
Despite all
this confusion, the rumours are also saying that Pep Guardiola is still hopeful
of striking a deal for Kane and are prepared for the transfer tale to go all
the way until transfer deadline day.
Now it has
emerged that United and Chelsea are still in the game for our striker. 90mins have also revealed that Chelsea are ‘still
in contact’ with Tottenham. 90mins have also said that Paris Saint-Germain are watching
Kane’s situation closely and could make a move for him soon (all confusing; what
is truth and what is fantasy?).
One of the reasons that City have lost interest (some are saying) is because of Kane’s price tag, but they have now put in a bid of £100m for Jack Grealish. City are fed up playing mind games with Tottenham, so they are now looking elsewhere (according to another set of reports) .
The Chelsea owner
Abramovich is the only one to have equal funds to City, and if he gives the
green light, they will get him. As for Kane; he made it clear in his interview
with Gary Neville back in May that he does not want to leave the Premier
League, which will rule out a move to PSG (but that was in May, he might be prepared
to go aboard if it means he can’t go to a Premier League club). If Kane does
leave us this summer, City or Chelsea are the only clubs I can see him going to.
Thoughts
I still feel
that he will stay with us unless either Chelsea or City are prepared to pay
what Levy wants, and that is £160m or more. I can’t see Levy taking less. After
all, it was the club that brought him up through their ranks, and if he goes then,
it would be payback time.
I know it is all higgledy-piggledy, but that is the nature of the press and conspiracy theorists. But it gives one something to write about. I am sure that by the beginning of the season all will be revealed and smiles all around (at least for some).
Be safe, Glenn
