If Poch comes back, then baldy will have to watch out!

According to the latest news, Poch has learned by past dealings with Levy, so if he comes back, he wants (no, demands) a  long term contract and control over transfers, then he will re-sign for the club.

Anybody who knows anything about football, in particular Levy and Spurs, will know that he has an iron fisted-control over every aspect of the club. This time around, Pochettino won’t fall for any of Levy’s tricks and will demand certain conditions if he should take over again. After all, Levy said, or hinted, that he has made mistakes and has learned from past blunders.

Just before he left, Pochettino famously called for ‘a painful rebuild’ at Spurs and then was famously sacked. Daniel didn’t want to let anybody take control over his firm grip on his pet (the club).

The club have started the process of rebuilding the squad, nevertheless, there are certain areas in which we are still in considerable need of investment.

As you all will know, that is if you read the press and all the speculation around Spurs, at least over the last few days, Pochettino has emerged as our number one target, even though, it is claimed, that Paris Saint-Germain are reluctant to let him go.

If the club cannot or will not meet those requests, Pochettino will stay put (good on him!).

My thoughts

I have been very critical of Pochettino in the past (winning no trophies, wrong substitutions, not taking the FA & League Cup seriously etc.). Still, if what is reported is accurate, that he wants a longer contract and control over transfers (i.e.putting demands on the bald eagle), then I would now welcome him back. What has been lacking in the past is somebody standing up to baldy.

So fingers crossed that this is true, and if true, he will be back. Guts have been lacking at Tottenham, where managers are concerned. Hopefully, out of all this badly starts to open his eyes and smell the coffee because his 20 years in control has been a catastrophic failure for the team.
