The current crop of TV schedules for Tottenham’s next four matches
With two
rescheduled games gone, we’ve had a pretty good start. The third game is tomorrow,
away to Sheffield United. So far we’ve got 4 points out of a possible six.
Even though
we weren’t impressive going forward in
either game, there was an improvement in the team’s defending when compared to
how they were before the suspension of the Premier League calendar. Mourinho
has stuck with roughly the same team for both games with Mourinho using the
least amount of substitutes (just five) of any team since the games restarted.
But as more
games go by I would imagine he would be rotating his squad a lot more over the
next couple of weeks. Like all teams, we have a busy fixture list coming up.
Since we
last played, against the Spammers, we’ve had a nine-day break. That is the good
news, the bad news is that we will have four matches in eleven days starting
with the Blades, with the run ending in the all-important North London derby
against Arsenal!
The TV schedule for Tottenham’s next four games:
Thursday, July 2nd- Sheffield United v Tottenham (Sky Sports, 6pm)
Monday, July 6th – Tottenham v Everton (Sky Sports, 8pm)
Thursday, July 9th – Bournemouth v Tottenham (Sky Sports/Pick TV FREE
TO AIR, 6pm)
Sunday, July 12th – Tottenham v Arsenal (Sky Sports, 4.30pm)
After these matches
we will travel to Geordie land to face Newcastle United four days later,
followed quickly by a home game against Leicester City, before ending their
season by playing Palace away, on July 26th.
The timings
of our final three matches are yet to be finalised.
How do I reckon
we will do? Well, I believe that our next four matches are winnable. Everton, Sheffield
and Bournemouth haven’t done that well since the lockdown was lifted. Once these
games have been completed, we then face Arsenal at home. We can win these
games, we should win these games, and we need to win these game if we want any
chance of competing for next season in the Champions League.
So, there you
have it; fingers crossed and hope for the best. We’ve been blessed since coming
back, with our injured players fully fit. Now it is down to Jose and the team
to get their act together and show us what they are made of.
