Lokomotiv Plovdiv vs Tottenham
Lokomotiv Plovdiv vs Tottenham, Thursday. Venue: Lokomotiv Stadium, Plovdiv
After Sunday's game, we go into
this Europa league match with trepidation. This is not going to be a straight
forward game, and Locomotiv are going all out to win it.
The question on many Spurs fans
minds, was the game against Everton a bad omen for the rest of the season. I am
hoping it was just a blip and a victory tomorrow night will give us a renewed
confidence, which we need badly.
If it was not for this bloody virus,
I would be going out there with the team. But it is not to be.
We face a
relentless calendar, while also having to manage the ailments of players who
may also represent their national teams a further six times this year.
As you probably
all know, Mourinho has criticised the fitness of players publicly, which I am
sure will give our opponents confidence. But then again it might make our players
more determined to crack a few skulls (not literally, of course, heavens above!).
As for Locomotiv,
they sit sixth in their top league, and their manager Bruno Akrapovic will feel that this match gives
his side an edge over us. Our opponents have won four of their last five games
in all competitions. Their only loss was to
Ludgorets Razgrad.
Kane will
play in Bulgaria on Thursday and then against Southampton in the Premier League
on Sunday.
We could face
two-midweek games next week. We are due to face Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup
on Tuesday, and if we beat Plovdiv, we face another trip to Europe on Thursday.
And do not forget we face Southampton this Sunday. We need to show some mettle.
My prediction
for tomorrow; 4-1.
COYS!
